2. let’s speak for ourselves & avoid generalizing
we share from personal experience and avoid making broad sweeping statements about groups of people. we avoid perpetuating stereotypes, making assumptions, or dismissing others' lived realities.

what happens if these agreements are violated?
- conflict resolution first – if an issue arises, we encourage open dialogue first, with mediation if needed.
- consequences depend on severity – minor issues will be addressed with a reminder. serious violations may result in being asked to leave the event or community, either temporarily or permanently.
- shared responsibility – while the organizing team will do their best to create spaces adhering to these values, we will not be able to ensure 100% adherence across all gatherings (because we have many member-led gatherings with no core team members involved). everyone thus shares responsibility for ensuring the agreements are upheld. if you witness a violation, we would appreciate you bringing it to the attention of one of the core team members.
